A Super Sunday!

From there it was over to the Super Cities Walk for MS at St. Vital Park. It could not have been better weather. I remember when I worked at the MS Society it seemed that every year there was either rain or snow - so this year was a wonderful exception! My friend Norm Velnes is the President of the MS Society and I can tell you he was one happy camper! The walk was a great success! The volunteers did an outstanding job of making everyone feel welcome and ensuring that all details were taken care of - from the registration, through to the food, the entertainment and even the massages! There was a lot of entertainment at the event also - all co-ordinated by the wonderful MC skills of Boyd Kozac (giving me a big hug in the pic). Goldie - the Goldeye's mascot, the Dakota Cheerleading Squad, the Village Green Morris Men, and so many more musicians and entertainers were there. It was really a terrific event, and as you can see from the pictures, a great time was had by all!

Another Great Day!
I was pouring tea for the St. Vital Historical Society this afternoon. What a delightful group of people! President John Dempster, Vice-President Audry Wilford and Treasurer Lorna Miner were very gracious. They invited virtually all candidates from all ridings in proximity of the St. Vital United Church and most of us came! I took over from Gord Steeves and poured tea with Ray Simard. Also at the tea was Grant Cooper, Old St. Vital PC Candidate. The photo at left shows me with the twin cadets that volunteered all afternoon to serve. They were terrific!
