Wednesday & Thursday!
Sorry folks - but as the campaign is heating up I'm finding even less time to do the blog so today's is a double whammy!

Wednesday:
The day started off at Nelson Mac with a Forum/Debate with a full class of students. It was great fun and the students had excellent questions. Greg Selenger was there for the NDP along with the candidates for the Liberals, the Green Party and the Communist Party - so it was a full house. I think it went well - and the students seemed really interested.
Then I was able to fit in a few quick errands before heading over to McDonald's (St. Mary's at St. Vital Centre) for McHappy Day! This was a really great event with all the proceeds going to a wonderful organization called the Movement Centre (www.movementcentre.ca). One of my favourite campaign volunteers, Margaret is very involved with this group and has told me much about the good work they do. So it was a fun way to spend an hour with my Seine River friend and stellar candidate Steven Andjelic (www.stevenandjelic.com) while raising some much needed funds for this great organization. (This first pic below is the McD's restaurant manager with Steve Andjelic and I and the second is Margaret & I)

After the McDonald's event I hightailed it back to the campaign office to meet a great group of volunteers to go door-knocking! We had a quick 1/2 hour break for dinner and then back out with another group of fresh volunteers for more . . . .you guessed it . . . DOOR-KNOCKING!
While I was out my son John contributed some time with Paul to instal signs - the sign crews are really working overtime! Thanks everyone!
Once again, after our evening door-knocking we returned to a full house of volunteers in the office, had a quick meeting and after a short repite at Earl's - I headed home to answer e-mails. Unfortunately I had so many e-mails that I simply couldn't stay up late enough to do the blog. Oh well - you've got the news now!
Thursday:
Today I got to go shopping for an Indian suit to wear to the temple tonite! That was a lot of fun and I found one I really liked - they clothes are so beautiful and so comfortable I think we should all wear them all the time!
Door-knocking again all afternoon - short dinner break - and then all evening!
Again, back to the office - but this time I ended earlier because my friend Paul was taking me to the temple to say goodbye to Babaji. I made a quick change at the office and all the female volunteers said they loved the suit and agreed we should all switch to that manner of dress every day! It was a beautiful service at the temple followed by some delicious food and great conversation with a wonderful group of people. I felt very welcomed and honoured to be included in such a wonderful event.
I am very grateful for the incredible people I have in my life - I am a very lucky woman! And I hope you will ALL come to my weekly open house this Sunday from noon until 2:00 at the campaign office at Unit 14 - 200 Meadowood Drive (beside Big Guys!). See you Sunday!
